Ho Ho Ho

First, check out what we were doing last night. The last of preparations!

Ry, we missed you!

We're extending the Christmas celebration this year, which began on Sunday with some present-opening. We'll be on the road for Christmas, and we just couldn't fit all of the presents into the car (or bear to lug them 800 miles across the country and back.) Check it out:

I wasn't sure how I would feel about opening presents before Christmas, especially for A. I have this tremendous, maybe slightly irrational, urge to provide a very magical Christmas morning for him. But it was actually quite a success. After all of the paper was recycled (and some boxes reused for other presents!), Paul and I stayed up late baking cookies. Paul said, "You know, I really like spreading Christmas out. It means we get to enjoy it all a little a more."

Here, here! Let the celebrations begin!
