Dear A,

It was 12 months ago today that you came roaring into the world two weeks early, determined to spend as little time as possible upside down in my tummy. You were such a little peanut - tiny and wrinkly, without an ounce of baby fat on you. That changed quickly, and now you've grown into a spirited, determined, fun-loving little boy. There's a smile on your face for the better part of every day and you're fond of mischievously raising your eyebrows when you find something funny or interesting. You're a talker, already trying to mimic everything you hear and carrying on little conversations of your own. You love bicycles and anything that flies, which thrills your dad. And you love music, bouncing up and down whenever you hear a tune that strikes your fancy. It's hard to believe you haven't been in my life forever, since being your mom is one of the best things I've ever done. I can wait to see where your dynamic little personality takes you!
