Not a paczki to be found
Well, it's 4 p.m. on Fat Tuesday and I have yet to come across my favorite Mardi Gras treat - the paczki. (Pronounced 'poonch-key' for those who are not from Detroit.) I have not given up all hope, but there is really only one more bakery left to check in Ithaca. Since it's looking like I'll miss out on this lard-ladden, calorie-filled treat - only available, mind you, on this one day every year - please, please have one for me.
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, read this.

Sheri, Join the club, I am in Detroit & did not have one yet, but it is only 8 PM......
You know its funny - I'm polish AND cathloic and you would think I would have grown up with Paczki's - and when my Dad called yesterday to see if I had one, I told him we didn't grow up with them...he paused...and said "well, probably b/c I probably ate them before I got home" perhaps that was for the best :)
