Welcome family and friends.
Our adventure began yesterday when Paul, myself and Summer (who was pleasantly dopey from her doggie drugs) loaded into the car and headed for our new place in Atlanta. Tail-light problems with the U-Haul trailer caused a late start. But once we were on the road, the driving was easy. We rolled into our new digs on Bay Street by 10 p.m., cracked open a bottle of wine, and began unloading. By 1 a.m., the trailer was empty and we were tucked snugly into bed. The new house is pretty sweet. It's about half the size of Ross Street, but it has a brand-new kitchen and bathrooms. At the moment, it's set-up college style with a papasan chair, a futon and one desk/table. Stay tuned for pics next week.
Seeing as it's been a while since I've made big move, I've decided it's a fitting time to launch a blog. I figure it's a good way to keep everyone updated on our daily lives. And it comes with the added bonus of getting me writing on a regular basis. Updates will probably be slow at first, as I'll still being doing the same-old thing in Michigan for a few more months. But I'll try to convince Paul to keep us posted on what he's up to in ATL. And I'll definitely report any big news or fun trips. Thanks for reading.

Unfortunately, I have to add a sad note to this first entry. Ruthie is now happily romping around dog heaven with her daily serving of toast and jelly, and squirrels to chase endlessly. We'll miss her.

Best of luck with your move. We'll miss you here in A2.
