Our bamboo floors arrived today from Build Direct, and they're snazzy looking! I'll take this oppotunity to give a big plug to the Canadian company. They delivered 1300 square feet strand woven bamboo floors to our doorstep for only $2.75 a square foot. (Strand woven is THE way to go if you want bamboo. It's much more durable than the vertical or horizontal bamboo.) And their bamboo specialist James has answered every question we've had about how to lay the stuff. Not to mention, their bamboo meets European standards for chemical emissions, which was pretty important to us. I'll postan update on how we like the product on the floor as soon as it's in.
