The tour

We've been on one heck of a moving tour, and unfortunately it's led to the neglect of this blog. Hang on, dear readers. Starting next week, our computer will come out of storage (no more updates from the library computers!) and you'll learn all about our adventures. Until then, thanks to everyone who's hosted us at their homes or fed us a meal, especially:
- our ATL landlord Rad, who cooked an amazing meal our last night in the ATL complete with Argentinian wine and Cuban coffee. YUM!
- my fantastic mom, who put us up in the MI for a week.
- my Dad, who treated us to some mean Greek food.
- cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. in Michigan - it was great to visit with y'all!
- the Klinkster, who came over for some mean debate-listening and very productive holiday shopping.
- Tin-man, for teaching Paul to like sushi again.
- JK, for the beers and catch-up on all things Pfizer.

Stayed tuned for this amazing trick that Paul and I stumbled across while driving to Ithaca. (That's where we are now, BTW.) Windshield-wipers in sync with a song - NO KIDDING!!

Don't just casually toss out there that you figured out a way to sync your wipers with the radio - that's the Holy Grail that slackers like me have spent our entire lives chasing. I am guardedly optimistic as I await your report on your findings...

Next time you are on a road or in a construction zone that has a series of rhythmic bumps, turn up the music that's already playing. 9 times out of 10, it will be going in tune with the bumps. I don't know why, but it always happens like that. It's like the Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz thing.

I once was driving with paul and listening to U2 and he was able to have the speed of the car pass the dotted lines in the center lane of the road with "I still haven't found what I am looking for" It sort of blew my mind - stuff like that just never occurs to me -

Seriously. It worked. I'll post video to prove it.

A2Girl, that's different, because he was controlling the speed of the car. The wipers have a pre-set tempo.

however - many wipers can be controlled by speed - I am not sure if the Suby-doo is that way - but I would not put it past Paul's mind to time something like that - I'm just saying

"Controlled by speed?" I'm not sure that I follow.

my windsheild wipers don't have 3 set speeds - its a gradual thing - like lights that you can dim - does that make sense?

Yeah, that makes sense, but that seems like cheating.
